Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing standard cell layouts ranging from simple to complex cells.
- Utilizing various routing technologies and applying sign-off checks to enhance manufacturability and yield.
- Collaborating with global teams to resolve methodology issues and improve layout designs.
- Conducting design reviews and providing constructive feedback.
- Automating design workflows and quality checks using Unix/Shell/Python/TCL/ICV scripting.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- BTech/MTech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IC layout design, especially with standard cell libraries.
- Proficiency with Synopsys Custom Compiler, Virtuoso, Innovus/ICC2, and ICV/Calibre.
- Experience with TSMC, Samsung, UMC, and GlobalFoundries PDKs.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Tcl, Perl, SKILL, and shell scripting.
- Understanding of sign-off flow and quality tracking.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Knowledge of CMOS, DPT, EM/IR, and digital layout fundamentals.
Education Requirements
BTech/MTech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
