Junior Digital Design Engineer - Remote
Role Summary
Work on developing and productizing digital IP cores for system and subsystem reference designs in a remote engineering team. The role involves RTL design, verification, FPGA prototyping, and collaboration with engineering centers in Greece, the Czech Republic, and the United States.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Junior. The posting expects candidates with an MS degree or roughly 2β3 years of professional digital design experience (see Education Requirements for details).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include design, verification, integration, and FPGA-based evaluation of digital IP cores.
- Design and verify digital IP cores (RTL-level).
- Integrate IP cores into system or subsystem reference designs.
- Implement and evaluate reference designs on FPGAs for validation and demonstration.
- Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to productize IP.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and competencies.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Solid understanding of digital design concepts.
- Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL at least at the FPGA level.
- Experience with simulation and verification tools (Modelsim or equivalent).
Nice-to-have:
- Scripting experience (TCL, shell).
- Experience coding in C or C++.
- Embedded processor knowledge or experience.
Education Requirements
MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; alternatively, ~2β3 years of professional digital design experience is acceptable (equivalent practical experience noted).
