Internship: Lab Measurements and Test Setups Automation

Role Summary

The Verification & Validation team in Gratkorn seeks a part-time student to support post-silicon verification and validation. The role focuses on automating lab measurements and test setups, operating RF lab equipment, and analyzing measurement data to support product validation.

Experience Level

Entry-level (internship). Student-level position; no specific years of professional experience required. Availability ~16 hours/week, duration over 6 months.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

• Operate and maintain RF and general lab measurement equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.).
• Develop software to automate lab environments and test setups (Python preferred).
• Collect, analyze and post-process measurement data; prepare presentations of results.
• Debug unexpected results and perform root-cause analysis.
• Learn about semiconductor ICs, embedded ARM software and RF measurement techniques.
• Optional: participate in PCB design and soldering tasks based on interest.
• Perform security-related tasks; work reliably when assignments are subject to security certifications.

Requirements

Key requirements for the role.

• Must-have: Proficiency in Python and experience developing scripts/tools for automation.
• Must-have: Basic hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.).
• Must-have: Good communication skills and fluent English.
• Must-have: Valid work authorization for the role location.
• Must-have: Availability approximately 16 hours per week for a period over 6 months.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with embedded ARM software and RF measurement techniques.
• Nice-to-have: PCB design and soldering skills.
• Team player, curious and willing to learn new technologies.

Education Requirements

Ongoing university studies (Bachelor's or Master's level) in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Information and Computer Engineering (Telematics), Software Engineering or a similar technical discipline. Student status is required and valid work authorization is necessary. (No alternative equivalency language specified.)
