Job Title

Internship - Analog Mixed-Signal Design

Role Summary

Infineon seeks an intern to contribute to analog and mixed-signal IC design projects. The role supports design, simulation, verification, silicon characterization, and automation efforts within a hardware development team focused on power and mixed-signal solutions.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Intended for current graduate students; no prior professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Key technical responsibilities for this internship:

  • Contribute to analog and mixed-signal IC design, simulation, and verification.
  • Design and analyze operational amplifiers, including stability and compensation techniques.
  • Develop low-power circuits such as LDOs and buck converters with energy-efficiency focus.
  • Perform silicon lab characterization and debug to verify performance against specifications.
  • Create and apply scripts (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell) to automate workflows and data analysis.
  • Participate in team activities: design reviews, brainstorming, and collaborative problem solving.

Requirements

Essential skills and attributes (must-haves first):

  • Proficiency in analog IC design and operational amplifier theory.
  • Experience or coursework in low-power circuit design and power-management topologies.
  • Familiarity with scripting for automation and data analysis (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
  • Hands-on lab skills or coursework related to silicon characterization and debugging.
  • Team-oriented, strong communicator, eager to learn and adapt.
  • Nice-to-have: prior project or lab experience with LDOs, buck converters, or mixed-signal test setups.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an M.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (e.g., EE, Electrical Engineering-related disciplines). Enrollment as a student is required for internship eligibility.
