As an intern in the AMAIS team at Micron, you will build on your academic skills and employ Engineering, Physics, and AI-based modeling towards semiconductor specific applications. You will interact with experienced AMAIS modeling experts working on advanced modeling of processes, structures, materials, and thermomechanical phenomena to build and test new workflows.
Experience Level
Internship; pursuing MS or Ph.D. in relevant fields is required.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Working on a modeling project that involves testing of new methods to perform large scale structural simulations.
- Reporting results to the team of modeling engineers and collaborating with them on the next steps.
- Implementing and testing new algorithms.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- Pursuing MS or Ph.D. in relevant fields of Engineering or AI.
- Experience with Finite elements, level sets, and CAD.
- Advanced skills in ML/DL/AI techniques.
- Experience with Bash, Python, C++.
- Previous software development and Linux experience.
- Familiarity with meshing techniques and numerical solvers.
- Experience in writing reports and/or conference papers.
Nice-to-have qualifications include:
- Comfort in executing activities independently.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment with experience in remote collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with semiconductor processes or integration.
Education Requirements
Graduation date should not be prior to September 2025; looking for a Fall 2025 or Spring 2025 intern.
