Job Title

Interconnect Product Engineer

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Networking unit to support end-to-end high-speed Ethernet and InfiniBand products. The role focuses on product quality, failure analysis, yield improvement and cross-functional execution for interconnect hardware.

The engineer will work closely with process, mechanical, hardware, test, thermal, quality, reliability and customer support teams to maintain product performance and production readiness.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The role expects approximately 3+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include technical problem solving, driving production quality, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.

  • Perform data and failure analysis to maintain high-quality product deliveries.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex performance and yield issues with Process, Mechanical, Hardware, Test, and Thermal teams.
  • Lead task forces and working groups for high-impact initiatives.
  • Develop and refine factory test plans to improve coverage, cycle time, cost, and yield.
  • Drive yield improvement efforts and address top failure modes.
  • Manage failure analysis for production and field failures.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support, Marketing, Engineering, Quality, and Reliability to ensure smooth execution.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience, and professional abilities.

  • At least 3 years of hands-on industry experience working in manufacturing or product engineering environments.
  • Strong background in statistics and data analysis; experience with JMP or equivalent tools.
  • Practical understanding of manufacturing line processes and production environments.
  • Basic knowledge of optics and microelectronics relevant to interconnect products.
  • Proven problem-solving, prioritization, and failure-analysis skills.
  • Effective presentation, interpersonal, and cross-functional communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Hands-on experience with AI tools.
  • Experience with PCB assembly processes.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent degree or equivalent practical experience.
