IC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The IC Verification Engineer is responsible for developing scalable and reusable Testbench environments, creating test plans, and ensuring rigorous verification processes for ASIC development. This role involves collaboration with team members and mentoring junior engineers while leading the documentation and review strategy for verification.

Experience Level

Senior, requiring 10+ years of experience with a Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

• Architect and develop Testbench environments using verification methodologies.
• Drive test plans and write functional coverage for Block/Core/SOC.
• Build pseudo-random tests for full functional coverage and closure.
• Debug regression failures and analyze functional coverage gaps.
• Guide and mentor junior team members.
• Lead verification documentation and reviews with design/architecture.
• Improve verification quality and efficiency.

Requirements

The essential requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent with 12+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience.
• 10+ years in developing complex verification environments and test plans.
• Experience through a full ASIC cycle, focusing on verification.
• Proficiency in System Verilog and verification methodologies like UVM/VMM.
• Strong debugging skills for analyzing regression failures.
• Understanding of complex protocols like PCI Express.
• Mentorship experience with junior engineers.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in PCIe protocol.
• Scripting skills in Python or Perl.
• Comfort with Makefiles.
• Experience with verifying protocols like AXI.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
