IC Post-Silicon Test Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Post-Silicon Validation team in NVIDIAs Networking unit to bring switches, NICs and SmartNICs from design to production readiness. The role owns product validation from definition through pre-silicon emulation and post-silicon bring-up and stabilization.
Experience Level
Mid-level; typically requires 2+ years of experience in test or validation engineering, with post-silicon experience preferred.
Responsibilities
The role leads validation strategy and execution across pre- and post-silicon stages and coordinates cross-functional activities to achieve product release readiness.
- Own product lifecycle from definition through pre-launch and production readiness.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Design and Verification teams to define validation strategies.
- Execute pre-silicon tests using emulation platforms (e.g., Palladium, VTPsim).
- Define and lead post-silicon validation plans and execution.
- Write test program code and develop new test infrastructures and methodologies.
- Drive product bring-up and stabilization toward Prel and production readiness.
- Develop automation and infrastructure to support program execution.
- Coordinate with DFT, Production, and Software teams during validation and bring-up.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, practical experience, and professional abilities required for the role.
- 2+ years of experience in test or validation engineering, preferably with post-silicon responsibilities.
- Hands-on coding experience in one or more languages (Java, VBA, Python, C/C++ or similar).
- Strong ownership, execution focus, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional coordination.
- Ability to develop automated infrastructures and test programs.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with pre-silicon emulation platforms (advantage).
- Experience with SMT8/UltraFlex (advantage).
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related field as stated in the posting.
