IC Layout Designer Technician

Role Summary

This role involves supporting products within the High-Performance Analog division at Qorvo. The primary responsibility will be to create and maintain IC CAD design files, ensuring compliance with design guides and layout rules. The technician will collaborate closely with engineers and manage the movement of IC designs from concept to manufacturing.

Experience Level

Support level; 1+ years in the semiconductor industry preferred.

Responsibilities

The IC Layout Designer Technician will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with Design, Process, and Software Engineers to develop designs from concept through schematic, layout, and manufacturing release.
• Performing design-rule checks and verification.
• Creating and updating fabrication and product drawings using tools like ADS, AWR, Cadence, and AutoCAD.
• Generating ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) to release completed drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Updating existing documentation based on input from Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Reviewing BOMs and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness during transfer from Engineering to Manufacturing.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent relevant experience.
• 1+ years working in the semiconductor industry.
• Ability to manage timelines and expectations, work efficiently, and produce high-quality deliverables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent experience required.
