HW and DSP Graduate Intern
Role Summary
The intern will join the Wireless SSE team to help develop and design wireless algorithms and IP for 5G, 6G and Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN). Work will be technical and hands-on, focusing on algorithm development, simulation, implementation, and verification.
Experience Level
Entry-level - final-year or recent graduate internship position for students in relevant engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include algorithm development, implementation, and testing within the Wireless SSE team:
- Develop and design wireless communication algorithms and IP blocks for 5G/6G and NTN use cases.
- Create and run Matlab simulations to validate algorithms and system performance.
- Support FPGA implementation and HW/RTL coding for prototype and IP verification.
- Perform DSP-related implementation and verification tasks.
- Work with engineers to integrate, test, and debug designs on hardware and in simulation.
- Document results, test plans, and design decisions.
Requirements
Technical skills and experience required or preferred for the internship.
- Must have: Knowledge of wireless communications, Matlab simulation, and digital signal processing concepts.
- Nice to have: Experience or coursework in FPGA implementation and HW/RTL coding (Verilog/VHDL).
- Ability to collaborate with a team, communicate technical results clearly, and work on hands-on implementation tasks.
Education Requirements
Final-year student or graduate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communications, or a closely related technical field (final year or recent graduate).
