High-Speed I/F Engineering Manager

Role Summary

This position is responsible for leading the design and development of the high-speed interface subsystem for automotive SoCs, particularly the R-Car series. The role involves both technical decision-making and organizational management to strengthen the development framework for next-generation automotive SoCs.

Experience Level

Senior level, with significant experience in technical leadership.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the design and development of the high-speed interface subsystem for automotive SoCs.
• Formulating specification and architecture guidelines, ensuring quality through design reviews.
• Prioritizing and making decisions based on performance, power consumption, quality, and schedule constraints.
• Collaborating with SoC architects and project management to optimize overall SoC performance.
• Leading resolution of critical technical and organizational challenges during design and verification phases.
• Managing global development teams across Japan, India, and Vietnam.

Requirements

Must-have skills and qualifications include:

• Technical leadership experience at subsystem or IP level.
• Collaboration experience with multiple engineers and teams.
• Fluency in English for technical discussions and coordination.
• Business level Japanese proficiency.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience in people management.
• Management experience across multiple locations, including international teams.
• Involvement in organizational planning and resource allocation.
• Experience in technical roadmaps and long-term planning.
• Experience with external IP vendors in specification and challenges resolution.
• Hands-on experience with specifications, design, and verification for high-speed interfaces.
• Background in automotive SoC or high-quality product development.
• Knowledge of power separation design and physical design (P&R).
