High NA EUV Track - Equipment Engineer
Role Summary
Lead installation, optimization, and maintenance of High NA EUV photolithography track equipment to ensure reliable process integration for next-generation memory devices at Micron's NYCreates site. Work closely with suppliers, facilities, and cross-functional Technology Development teams globally.
Role focuses on equipment qualification, recipe development, failure analysis, preventative maintenance, and improving uptime and process performance.
Experience Level
Mid-level — typically requires around 4 years of relevant experience. Role includes leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include equipment projects, process recipe development, troubleshooting, and reliability programs.
- Lead equipment hardware projects and installations with suppliers and facilities to meet process requirements.
- Develop and optimize advanced photolithography track recipes to meet performance, defect, and cost targets.
- Identify and resolve equipment-related issues using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, or SPC/FDC methodologies.
- Design and implement preventative maintenance schedules and programs to increase uptime and reliability.
- Evaluate and qualify new photo film materials and equipment configurations to support technology scaling.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Technology Development teams (including Boise and Hiroshima) while protecting intellectual property.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers on equipment operations and best practices.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and skills; preferred items listed separately.
- Approximately 4 years of experience in photolithography track equipment development and maintenance.
- Demonstrated expertise with High NA EUV photo track hardware and process control systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems and read/interpret complex schematic diagrams.
- Experience applying failure analysis methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, or SPC/FDC.
- Experience with equipment installation, qualification, and process optimization for semiconductor manufacturing.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in technology development or R&D fab environments.
- Background in DRAM track process optimization and process integration flow.
- Technical leadership experience in consortium or multi-company environments.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
