High Bandwidth Memory Quality Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for supporting reliability qualification, quality monitoring, and failure debugging for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products. Works with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to establish and execute product reliability methods and risk assessments from design through high-volume manufacturing.

Provides technical support for test execution, data analysis, development of new tests and debugging tools, and continuous improvement of qualification processes and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include qualification, testing, debugging, and process improvement for HBM products:

  • Support reliability qualification and ongoing quality monitoring for HBM devices.
  • Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing teams to establish and follow reliability methods and perform risk assessments.
  • Execute system-level and drive-level debugging using software tools, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform testing requested by project leads and contribute to development of new tests and debugging tools.
  • Analyze data and support senior engineers with technical debugging and root-cause investigations.
  • Support manufacturing teams on reliability issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives for qualification processes and infrastructure.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Understanding of DRAM operation and fabrication processes.
  • Familiarity with DRAM wafer test, component test, and module testing concepts and flows.
  • Experience with statistical tools, Unix environments, and JMP.
  • Comfort working in Linux-based environments.
  • Experience with DFII, Cadence, and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Debugging, troubleshooting, and failure analysis skills.
  • Programming experience in Python and/or C++.

Education Requirements

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
