Role Summary
Broadcom's ASIC Product Division is looking for a HBM/DDR/SERDES DFT Verification Lead Engineer to join their team in San Jose, California. This role involves ensuring the robustness and reliability of HBM, DDR, and SerDes designs through comprehensive Design for Test (DFT) verification strategies. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and validate DFT methodologies, ensuring product quality.
Experience Level
Senior; 10+ years of relevant industry experience with a Master’s degree or 12+ years with a Bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Implementing and verifying DFT methodologies for HBM, DDR, and SerDes designs.
- Collaborating with design and architecture teams to define critical testability requirements.
- Utilizing advanced simulation tools to verify DFT implementations.
- Documenting verification processes and results.
- Staying updated on trends in DFT and related technologies.
- Working closely with STA and DI Engineers for design closure.
- Generating, verifying, and debugging test vectors.
- Validating test vectors on ATE during silicon bring-up.
- Assisting with silicon failure analysis and yield improvement.
- Interfacing with customers and various engineering teams globally.
- Innovating new DFT solutions for 3nm IPs.
- Automating DFT and test vector generation flows.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Strong DFT background including experience with Analog DFT, MBIST, and IEEE1687.
- Proven experience in DFT verification for HBM, DDR, and SerDes IPs.
- Understanding of DFT methodologies including scan, BIST, and ATPG.
- Proficiency in simulation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, TCL, Ruby).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with ATE is preferred.
- Knowledge of BIST logic for testing, as well as AHB/APB/AXI buses, is a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
