Hardware Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Join the board-design Hardware team focused on networking infrastructure for next-generation data centers and GPU connectivity. The role performs hands-on lab validation and debugging of boards throughout the development cycle.
Experience Level
Entry-level. Candidates should have at least 1 year of hands-on experience in a hardware lab environment.
Responsibilities
Work in the lab to validate, debug and document board-level hardware designs and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Perform board bring-up, validation, and debug activities in the lab.
- Operate lab equipment: oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic/spectrum analyzers, multimeters.
- Support hardware investigations by reading schematics and analyzing PCB layouts.
- Execute and complete test procedures; document test results and communicate findings to engineering teams.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, thermal, and system engineers through the development cycle.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience for immediate contribution, plus optional strengths that improve candidacy.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a hardware lab environment.
- Proven experience with board-level debugging and lab equipment operation.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and PCB layouts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Good technical English for reading datasheets and writing reports.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, SerDes).
- Familiarity with thermal and mechanical test setups.
- Experience with test automation and use of bug-tracking or PLM tools.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical education, or equivalent practical experience. "Relevant education" and "equivalent experience" language appears in the source.
