Role Summary
The AirPods System Technologies Team is looking for electrical engineers who are eager to help define technologies that will be fundamental to our future products. The team is responsible for architecting, developing, and delivering features and technologies within challenging physical and power constraints.
Experience Level
Senior; requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Developing system-level specifications and analyzing designs for custom silicon.
- Evaluating how sensing and signal processing subsystems integrate into the architecture.
- Conducting feasibility studies for novel systems during early concept phases.
- Translating user-facing features into low-level electrical and architectural specifications.
- Mitigating coexistence issues at the architectural level.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience in electronic system design or chip architecture.
- Excellent understanding of basic circuits, analog, digital, and power systems.
- Experience working with user experience constraints to define electrical requirements.
Nice-to-have qualifications include:
- Masters or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with ASIC/semiconductor development process.
- Understanding of digital architecture fundamentals and tradeoffs affecting power consumption.
- Hands-on experience in debugging and functional verification.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
