Hardware Security Program Manager
Role Summary
Lead planning, execution, and delivery of security IP and hardware security technologies across Qualcomm SoC products. Coordinate architects, RTL designers, verification, firmware, platform integration, product management, and certification teams to deliver secure boot, cryptographic accelerators, trusted execution environments, and related IP.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Manage lifecycle and cross-functional delivery of Security IP programs and related hardware/firmware solutions.
- Define and maintain program master schedules, milestones, budgets, work plans, and resource requirements.
- Organize and lead cross-team planning, set plans of record, and establish program policies and processes.
- Troubleshoot program issues; develop alternative schedules, resource plans, and mitigation actions.
- Identify, assess, quantify risks and drive mitigation strategies; report status and risks to senior management.
- Develop performance indicators and program metrics focused on risk identification and progress tracking.
- Coordinate roadmap, resource gap analysis, planning, and cost projections; manage budget allocation and onboarding with Finance/HR.
- Champion architecture-phase alignment and spec decisions with IP development teams; improve program management metrics and processes.
Requirements

- Proven experience managing development and deployment of secure boot, cryptography, secure storage, trusted execution environments, and hardware isolation mechanisms.
- Program management experience (minimum 4+ years; multiple sections reference 5+ years in related roles).
- Experience managing operating budgets, resources, and project financials.
- Technical domain familiarity with VLSI and hardware/software development life cycle; background in IP core design and debug is valuable.
- Experience supporting security certification processes (examples in posting include FIPS, Common Criteria, GlobalPlatform, EMVCo) - preferred.
- Familiarity with TrustZone, virtualization, secure element architectures, or other platform security technologies - preferred.
- Proven ability to lead globally distributed, cross-discipline teams; strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfort with data-driven decision making and delivering in fast-paced mobile, automotive, compute, networking, or IoT markets - preferred.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. The posting allows advanced degrees to substitute for up to two years of work experience (Master's = 1 year, Doctorate = 2 years). Program management certification (PMP or equivalent) is mentioned as preferred.
