Hardware IP Program Manager

Role Summary

Manage delivery of hardware IPs used in cores and SoCs across multiple business units. Define and execute program plans of record including schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables and risks, and drive alignment across internal and external stakeholders.

The role sits in a Hardware PMO and interfaces with engineering leads, verification and physical design teams, and senior management to ensure on-time delivery and program health.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning, tracking, and stakeholder coordination for IP development and delivery.

• Establish day-to-day operational objectives and organize interdepartmental activities to meet program schedule.
• Create and maintain program schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and risk registers.
• Manage change control, escalations, and resolve program issues with stakeholders.
• Assess risks and communicate goals, results, and mitigation plans to teams and leadership.
• Run team meetings, document issues, and report program status and health.
• Monitor compliance with product/program/project schedules and milestones.
• Interface with senior management and executives on program progress and technical matters as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years program management or related work experience (the posting also references 3+ years in some sections).
• Proven experience across the complete IP lifecycle: development, delivery, and sign-off.
• Domain knowledge in IP design (front-end and back-end), design verification, analog verification, IP physical design, layout, and characterization.
• Experience with foundation IP development, delivery, quality assurance and quality control.
• Strong Microsoft tools skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Project (MPP), Power BI, and Copilot.
• Proven analytics skills in the VLSI domain and basic AI skills relevant to program management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to synchronize and motivate engineering leads toward common goals.

Nice-to-have

• Domain knowledge of PDK components and analog/mixed-signal IP development and delivery.
• Track record managing foundation IP, analog IP, or mixed-signal IP projects.
• Demonstrated history of successful program management performance; some sections reference total experience of 15+ years as desirable.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is stated as a requirement.
