Hardware Engineer

Role Summary

The Hardware Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing FPGA IPs for various systems, ensuring high quality and timely delivery. This role involves integration of third-party IP and the development of testing environments.

Experience Level

Entry-level: 0–3 years of experience in digital design, FPGA design flow, and interfacing.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop FPGA IPs for both existing and new systems.
  • Assess third-party IP for complex protocols.
  • Integrate third-party FPGA IP into existing and new FPGA systems.
  • Develop simulation and test environments.
  • Write host software to drive test environments.
  • Create deliverable demo designs.
  • Generate documentation for interface integrations.
  • Conduct system-level integration and verification tasks.

Requirements

The following qualifications are required:

  • B.Sc. in Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
  • 0–3 years of experience in digital design, FPGA design flow, and interfacing.
  • Proficiency in Verilog HDL or VHDL.
  • Hands-on experience in FPGA implementation.
  • Familiarity with logic synthesis and report analysis.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as PCIe, UFS, MIPI UniPro, NVMe, and others.
  • Familiarity with the Xilinx development workflow.
  • Understanding of embedded programming is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Perl/Shell) is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.

Education Requirements

Expected education background includes a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
