Hardware Board Design Engineer

Role Summary

Join the IC Product Engineering HW team in NVIDIA Networking to lead design and execution of test boards for IC products. The role delivers test platforms used for wafer sort and final test and coordinates implementation between R&D and production teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 3+ years of experience as a Board Design Engineer.

Responsibilities

Owner for board design and lab validation of IC test platforms.

  • Define electrical specifications and complete schematic design.
  • Select components and provide layout considerations for manufacturability.
  • Perform lab bring-up, debugging, and validate platforms until production-ready.
  • Collaborate with Mechanics, Signal Integrity, Layout, DFT, Firmware and Test teams.
  • Integrate and support wafer-sort and final-test equipment (UF tester & prober).

Requirements

Minimum qualifications and important skills.

  • 3+ years experience as a board design engineer or equivalent hardware design role.
  • Experience with digital circuits, power design, and high-speed PCB design.
  • Project management skills and ability to drive designs through to production.
  • Strong debugging and lab bring-up capability.
  • Personal skills: self-directed, multidisciplinary problem solving, multitasking, strong interpersonal communication.
  • Nice-to-have: system-level understanding and familiarity with production test environments (wafer sort and final test).

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (specified).
