Graduate Talent (PQE PTE PFA)

Role Summary

Product Failure Analysis engineer focused on failure analysis across Intel SoC, CPU, and discrete graphics products. The role investigates root causes, recommends corrective actions to improve yield and reliability, and collaborates with design, fabrication, assembly, and test teams.

Responsible for developing and deploying failure-analysis methodologies, driving automation and process improvements, and scaling solutions across Intel sites.

Experience Level

Entry-level. Fresh graduates in relevant technical fields are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical failure analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement.

  • Perform failure analysis and root-cause investigations on Intel products.
  • Conduct physical failure analysis to identify defects and recommend corrective actions to design, fab, assembly, and test teams.
  • Support new product and technology transfer with FA inputs and readiness activities.
  • Develop, automate, and improve FA tools, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Maintain and improve Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and control plans across product lifecycles.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic FA initiatives for emerging technologies and scale best practices across sites.
  • Communicate findings clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and document results.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and behavioral capabilities. Education details are summarized separately under Education Requirements.

  • Knowledge of failure analysis techniques and physical analysis methods.
  • Understanding of device physics, circuit analysis, and layout analysis.
  • Familiarity with wafer fabrication processes and semiconductor manufacturing concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills demonstrated through academic projects or relevant experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical results clearly in writing and verbally.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with automation of analysis workflows or analytical tools.
  • Prior internship, academic project, or lab experience related to semiconductor FA or microelectronics.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Microelectronics Engineering, or a related technical field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
