Role Summary

This role is part of Arm's CPU and Subsystems physical implementation support team. The primary mission is to assist leading semiconductor design houses in implementing advanced Arm cores and subsystems into nanometer System-on-Chip (SoC) designs, ensuring that performance, power, and area requirements are met.

Experience Level

Entry-level, ideally with 1-2 years of relevant industry experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

The engineer will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver physical design support services.
  • Collaborate with design teams to evaluate performance vs. power tradeoffs.
  • Create training materials for customers.
  • Work with EDA vendors to optimize design results.

Requirements

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 1-2 years of experience in synthesis, floor/power planning, place and route, and static timing analysis.
  • Familiarity with the complete IC design flow from RTL to PnR & STA.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, Python, TCL) and Verilog RTL design is advantageous.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
