Graduate Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

Entry-level role within the Competence Center Crypto & Security (CCC&S) digital design team working on research and development of cryptographic IP and secure subsystems. You will be mentored by senior engineers and participate in the full digital design and verification flow.

This position includes a structured training programme and technical mentoring to develop practical skills in secure silicon design.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Graduate. Suitable for recent graduates; the role is aimed at candidates at the start of their career.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include hands-on development and verification of digital designs for cryptographic and secure systems.

• Write Verilog to describe digital circuits.
• Develop SystemVerilog testbenches and execute functional verification.
• Simulate designs using industry EDA tools.
• Synthesise and optimise designs for area, power, and performance.
• Collaborate with senior engineers across the full design and verification flow.
• Learn and adopt secure design practices under technical mentorship.

Education Requirements

Master's or Honours degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (UK Honours degree accepted). No certifications specified.
