Graduate Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

The Graduate Digital Design Engineer will join the hardware development team to work on digital and mixed-signal designs. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design of complex ASIC systems while gaining hands-on experience.

Entry-level; suitable for recent graduates with a degree in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Graduate Digital Design Engineer include:

• Interpreting high-level requirements to create detailed micro-architecture specifications of digital control and data-path systems.
• Developing synthesizable RTL using SystemVerilog for ASIC digital blocks, ensuring compliance with various constraints.
• Producing design documentation, participating in design reviews, and adhering to design processes.
• Collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless integration of designs.
• Maintaining quality of deliverables using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
• Developing and running simulations of designs, performing debugging to resolve issues.
• Learning best practices in digital design and contributing to process improvements.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• Internship or industrial placement in the related field is desirable.
• Strong understanding of digital logic design and flows.
• Familiarity with HDL languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL) and simulation tools.
• Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Tcl) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a team-oriented environment.
• Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) and Linux-based development environments.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
