Functional Safety Software Developer

Role Summary

Develop and architect functional-safety embedded software for automotive microcontrollers within the Functional Safety SW team. Work with cross-functional teams (hardware designers, solution teams and customer engineers) to deliver safety-compliant products used in automotive electronic control units.

Focus on ISO 26262-aligned software design, implementation and customer support for safety-critical features.

Experience Level

Mid-level — the role targets candidates with several years of embedded software experience (no explicit years specified).

Responsibilities

Deliver and maintain professional functional-safety software and related architecture for automotive microcontrollers.

• Implement functional-safety embedded software using Embedded C.
• Design software architecture for functional-safety concepts and collaborate with hardware and system architects.
• Architect and evaluate HW/SW trade-offs to meet safety requirements.
• Collect and analyze customer-specific functional-safety needs and provide technical support.
• Follow software development processes, quality standards, and safety documentation practices.
• Collaborate across teams and provide feedback to internal stakeholders and customers.

Requirements
