Fresh Graduate Test Engineer (Electronics Engineering)

Role Summary

As a Product, Test or Validation Engineer in TI's entry-level Career Accelerator Program, you will develop test hardware and software, debug products, and support qualification and production activities for analog and embedded processing integrated circuits. You will work with cross-functional teams, manufacturing sites, customers, and partners to improve yield, performance, and cost for assigned product lines.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on test development, product validation, manufacturing support and data-driven yield improvement.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Fresh graduate). No prior professional experience required; position is intended for recent graduates.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include development, validation and support activities to ensure product quality and manufacturing readiness.

  • Develop and maintain test hardware and software for automated test equipment.
  • Perform product debugging, verification, characterization and bench validation.
  • Optimize test programs and processes to meet yield, cost and capacity targets.
  • Support product qualification, reliability testing and failure analysis.
  • Analyze manufacturing and test data to identify yield and quality improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with wafer fabrication and assembly sites to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Serve as operational point of contact for assigned product portfolio and facilitate cross-functional problem solving.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality or application issues.

Requirements

Minimum education requirements are listed in the Education Requirements section below. Preferred technical skills and professional attributes are:

  • Basic understanding of schematics, PCB layouts and digital components (preferred).
  • Knowledge of analog circuitry (op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing) (preferred).
  • Programming skills in C/C++; LabVIEW experience recommended (preferred).
  • Familiarity with automated test equipment, tester hardware/software interaction and bench setups (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes, take initiative, and manage time to deliver projects on schedule.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field is required. A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher is specified.
