FPGA Product Application Engineering Manager

Role Overview

The FPGA Product Application Engineering Manager will lead a team within Silicon Applications and Documentation engineering at Advanced Micro Devices in Hyderabad, India. The individual will focus on supporting customers with ACAP/FPGA technology, particularly in complex IP development and memory interfaces pertinent to specialty applications such as image sensors and IOT.

Role Summary

This position is focused on overseeing a collaborative effort to enable customer success with FPGA/ACAP platforms. Cross-functional interaction with Design and Software engineering teams is essential, and the role entails managing customer support resolutions and project executions efficiently.

Experience Level

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and a background leading technical projects and teams, with the capacity to collaborate across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities

As part of your role, you will:

• Create comprehensive customer documentation, including datasheets and product guides.
• Validate memory/IO interfaces and essential FPGA features.
• Develop custom solutions utilizing Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
• Address and resolve escalated customer support inquiries.

Requirements

Candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Proven project planning and execution capabilities.
• A background in FPGA or ASIC design is required.
• Demonstrated experience with memory interfaces and hardware debugging.
• Experience in RTL development and verification.
• Familiarity with programming or scripting languages.
• Leadership experience in team settings.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is necessary for this role.
