Role Summary
Design and implement FPGA-based systems and embedded firmware for Electronic Safe and Arm Devices used in DOD weapon systems. Work within an engineering team to define architecture, implement digital logic, integrate firmware, and verify system behavior.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Architect and develop FPGA-based Electronic Safe and Arm Devices for defense systems.
- Design, implement, and optimize RTL in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Develop and integrate embedded firmware in C and support higher-level components in C# as needed.
- Create and implement algorithms and digital design blocks required by the product.
- Perform verification, validation, and debugging of hardware and firmware.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into hardware/software specifications and test plans.
- Collaborate with systems and test engineers to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Document designs, test results, and troubleshooting processes.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Proven FPGA design experience using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Embedded C firmware development experience and strong debugging skills.
- Familiarity with C# for supporting tools or integration tasks (as listed by employer).
- Experience in digital design, algorithm development, and hardware/software integration.
- Experience with verification and validation methodologies for hardware/firmware.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience on defense or DOD projects and working with safety- or security-critical systems.
- Familiarity with test automation, bench bring-up, and system-level integration.
