Job Title

FPGA Engineer, Intelligence Systems

Role Summary

Design, implement, test, and bring up FPGA-based hardware for intelligence systems using Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms. Work with product, firmware, and test teams to deliver hardware that meets system requirements for Intelligence Community customers.

Role sits on Anduril's Intelligence Systems team in Reston, VA and focuses on rapid development and deployment of FPGA designs for signal processing, high-speed communications, and system bring-up.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The team prefers candidates with approximately 5+ years of FPGA/HDL hardware design experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, simulate, and implement FPGA designs using VHDL and/or Verilog on Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms.
  • Participate in the full design lifecycle: requirements, architecture, implementation, verification, board bring-up, and system-level testing.
  • Integrate third-party IP and manage IP interfaces.
  • Implement and validate interfaces and signal types such as high-speed communications (Ethernet, serial) and signal processing chains.
  • Perform hands-on hardware bring-up and debug at HDL and system levels; resolve issues discovered during testing.
  • Ensure designs meet applicable performance and safety requirements with traceability to system-level requirements.

Requirements

Concise list of required and preferred qualifications.

  • Must-have: Proficiency in VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Must-have: Experience with Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms and FPGA development tools (Vivado preferred; ModelSim or Quartus experience acceptable).
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience with SoC hardware bring-up, preferably on ARM-based systems.
  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must-have: Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
