Job Title

FPGA Engineer

Role Summary

Design and deliver hardware-accelerated systems for ultra-low-latency trading. Work across FPGA architecture, implementation, simulation, verification, and production deployment while partnering with Quantitative Researchers and Strategy Developers to translate trading requirements into hardware solutions.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 8+ years of FPGA or ASIC architecture, design, and development experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with quantitative researchers and strategy developers to define hardware requirements.
  • Architect and design FPGA-based solutions, including hardware selection and key functional blocks.
  • Implement designs using HDL and integrate firmware/software from board to API.
  • Simulate, verify, and test designs; iterate for performance and reliability.
  • Deploy hardware to production environments and support ongoing performance tuning.
  • Own end-to-end hardware solutions and document designs and interfaces.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

  • Must-have: 8+ years of FPGA or ASIC architecture, design, and development using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
  • Must-have: Strong experience with FPGA design flow, simulation, verification, and testing.
  • Preferred: Experience with high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet and PCIe.
  • Preferred: Experience with high-level software languages (C#, C, Java) for host integration and APIs.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in trading or finance is helpful but not required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline, or a foreign equivalent.
