FPGA Engineer
Role Summary
Work on digital design of phased-array antenna systems, focusing on data transport and the signal-processing chain to enable resilient, high-throughput communications.
Join the hardware engineering team to design, implement, test, and deploy FPGA-based networking and DSP components used in ground stations.

Mid-level - 2–4+ years professional experience.
Responsibilities
Build and validate FPGA firmware and related systems from prototype to operations.
- Design, implement, and test high-rate parallel networking and DSP blocks in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Develop and integrate FPGA SoC-based solutions for data transport and signal processing.
- Lead multi-disciplinary projects through design, prototyping, shipment, and field operations.
- Define system architecture, perform trade studies, and write and maintain system requirements.
- Analyze field test data, diagnose issues, and provide product-improvement feedback.
- Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) to debug high-speed designs.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, local work eligibility, and practical experience.
- 2–4+ years professional FPGA development experience.
- Expert in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience with DSP and/or networking implementations on FPGAs.
- Experience with FPGA SoCs and firmware integration.
- Proficient in Python for tooling, test, and automation.
- Experience using lab instruments to debug high-speed designs.
- Onsite in Torrance, CA; must meet U.S. export-control eligibility (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible for required Department of State authorizations).
- Strong problem-solving and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS).
- Experience with C++ or Rust.
- Experience with high-performance PCBA architecture and FPGA integration.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical field. Equivalent practical experience in FPGA/DSP development is acceptable.
