Role Summary
The FPGA Circuit Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing FPGA circuits and IPs, focusing on optimizing for power, performance, area, timing, and yield goals.
Experience Level
Senior, with 10+ years of FPGA design experience.
Responsibilities
The engineer will:
- Design and develop FPGA circuits and IPs such as core fabric logic and configurable memory blocks.
- Micro-architect and perform circuit design, schematic entry, simulation, and reliability verification.
- Develop models and collateral for FPGA circuits to integrate with hardware and software deliverables.
- Collaborate with teams across microarchitecture, SoC, IP fabrics, RTL design, and verification.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience in logic design, SPICE and RV simulations, and oversight of physical design activities.
- Solid understanding of hardware VLSI design and advanced process technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Perl, CSH, TCL, and Makefiles is a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
