Micron TechnologyJob Title
Foundry PDK / Collateral Integration Engineer (CAD/EDA)
Role Summary
Responsible for acquiring, installing, validating, packaging, and releasing foundry PDKs, rule decks, models, and libraries to support internal build and CAD flows. Works with engineering and build teams to ensure PDK environments are validated, versioned, and documented for production use.
This role supports reliable PDK releases that enable successful tapeouts and production builds.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Typical expectation: 5+ years experience in PDK integration, CAD flows, or EDA support within semiconductor or CAD support domains.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate secure retrieval of foundry collateral (PDKs, IP bundles) and track alignment to delivery schedules.
- Install and configure PDKs, rule decks, models, and libraries in standardized environments with multi-node support.
- Design and execute validation: unit tests, smoke tests, and regression tests for CAD flows prior to release.
- Package validated PDK environments, maintain version control, and publish release notes and supported flow documentation.
- Develop and maintain automation for installation, updates, validation, and regression testing to reduce manual effort.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in PDK integration, CAD flows, or EDA environments within semiconductor or CAD support domains.
- Strong knowledge of PDK components (DRC/LVS, extraction, device/models, libraries) and experience with custom and/or digital build flows.
- Proficiency with EDA tool ecosystems such as Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens.
- Proficient in Linux environments and scripting (Python, Tcl, shell).
- Familiarity with tapeout flows and regression validation processes.
Nice-to-have / preferred:
- Experience collaborating with foundries (for example, TSMC or IFS).
- Background in CAD automation and large-scale PDK release management.
- Experience with version control and environment management tools; strong debugging and process rigor.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (e.g., EE, CE, CS). The posting specifies degree-level education (B.S./M.S.) in these fields.
