Foundation IP Memory Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join the Central Engineering Group to verify and validate foundation IP used in AI products, including memory compilers, custom memory macros and related analog/mixed-signal blocks. Work with memory designers, modeling and validation teams to improve memory characterization and ensure silicon-quality timing and power models.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting requests a minimum of 5 years of memory-circuit related experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities focus on verification, analysis, automation, and silicon correlation for memory IP.

• Contribute to memory design validation for custom memory macros and memory compilers.
• Perform functional verification and root-cause analysis for design discrepancies; drive fixes.
• Run transistor-level simulations to check power-up, lock-up, timing margins and correlate with models.
• Perform signal-integrity, EM/IR and reliability analysis and evaluate impact on timing and internal margins.
• Perform QA and validation checks to ensure accurate timing and power models.
• Develop scripts to automate verification flows and data analysis.
• Support silicon debug and correlate silicon behavior to SPICE models.
• Coordinate with memory design leads, modeling leads and managers to define and execute memory validation plans.

Requirements

Minimum technical skills and experience expected; separated into must-have and nice-to-have.

• Must-have: Minimum 5 years of memory circuit-related experience; strong understanding of transistor-level circuit behavior and device physics.
• Must-have: Experience running circuit simulators and performing transistor-level simulations for timing and margin validation.
• Must-have: Proficiency writing automation scripts and developing verification flows; tool-savvy for simulator/analysis environments.
• Must-have: Experience with silicon debug and correlating silicon measurements to models.
• Nice-to-have: Understanding of memory behavioral and physical models and memory circuit design expertise.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with signal integrity analysis, EM/IR analysis, reliability analysis, and DFT/chip-level integration.
• Nice-to-have: Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills; ability to multi-task and learn new domains.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering. The posting specifies a minimum of 5 years of memory circuit-related experience.
