Role Summary

Provide technical and application support for Monolithic Power Systems' power management ICs to customers and sales channels in the Nagoya territory. Support pre-sales, joint development programs, and coordination with global design and factory teams; role requires regional travel.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Requires approximately 5+ years of hands-on experience in analog power management electronics.

Responsibilities

Key duties include customer-facing application support, collaboration with sales, and technical coordination with internal design and factory teams.

  • Provide technical support to customers and sales channel partners throughout the territory.
  • Coordinate technical matters with the factory and global design centers as needed.
  • Manage joint development programs with customers.
  • Identify new customers, applications, and opportunities and recommend appropriate products.
  • Communicate with global teams to support new product promotion activities.
  • Contribute product ideas for future business development.
  • Evaluate EVB and customer boards on the bench as required.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications derived from the posting.

  • Must-have: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in analog power management electronics.
  • Must-have: Practical experience in DC/DC power design.
  • Must-have: Fluent Japanese (oral and written) and proficiency in English (oral and written).
  • Must-have: Ability to travel up to 50% and to work independently; self-starter.
  • Preferred: Experience with motor drivers.
  • Preferred: Understanding of common power supply architectures and PWM IC operation.
  • Preferred: Ability to develop strong customer relationships and evaluate electronic performance of EVB and customer boards.
