Field Application Engineer

Role Summary

Provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support for Nexperia products to strategic customers and distribution partners in the New Delhi region. The role focuses on project identification, product positioning against competitors, technical problem resolution, and coordination with sales and product groups.

Experience Level

Mid-level - typically 5–8 years of relevant experience working in semiconductor applications, power electronics, or related customer-facing engineering roles.

Responsibilities

Support sales and customers through technical engagement, project tracking, and training.

• Identify and support projects with key customers and distribution partners.
• Gather and analyse project requirements block-by-block and recommend Nexperia product solutions.
• Demonstrate product capabilities and position products against competitors.
• Deliver pre-sales technical presentations and provide practical problem resolution tailored to customer needs.
• Conduct monthly project reviews with key customers and distributors; report progress and support needs to internal teams.
• Organize quarterly trainings, tech days, seminars, exhibitions and events for customers and distributor FAEs/PMs.
• Collaborate with business groups on new product development and customer feedback.

Requirements

Key technical skills and professional capabilities required for the role.

• 5–8 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or related field, with customer-facing engineering exposure.
• Strong understanding of power devices (MOSFET, GaN, SiC, IGBT) and key parameters for different applications.
• Hands-on experience with SMPS controllers, LDOs, DC–DC converters, load switches, ideal diode implementations and I2C interfaces.
• Familiarity with hardware simulation tools and PCB layout software.
• Ability to diagnose design problems and deliver technical solutions to customers' engineering teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for direct customer interaction at all engineering levels.
• Knowledge of automotive, industrial and consumer application block diagrams.
• Nice to have: experience with demand creation and sales through distribution channels.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (BE / B.Tech) in Electronics.
