Role Overview

The Fellow Server CPU Validation Architect is responsible for leading the development of comprehensive validation strategies to ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of server CPU products. This role requires deep technical expertise in CPU architecture and effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Position Summary

As a key member of the Server Platform Solutions Engineering team, the Fellow Server CPU Validation Architect will engage in both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation processes. They will work closely with design and engineering teams to develop tools, methodologies, and test plans, ensuring product designs meet rigorous quality standards.

Experience Level

This position is aimed at individuals with extensive experience, ideally at a senior or mastering level in CPU validation methodologies and program ownership, with a focus on zero customer escape mentality.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of CPU validation strategies and test plans.
  • Drive effective validation coverage to identify complex architectural and manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with technical leaders to enhance testing tools and methodologies.
  • Oversee the operation of global server farms to optimize validation quality.
  • Manage system-level emulation architecture and set validation priorities.
  • Innovate improvements to development and debugging processes across teams.
  • Serve as the primary resource for addressing advanced debug challenges.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess in-depth knowledge of modern x86 microprocessor architecture and server systems, coupled with strong experiences in validation methodologies and infrastructure development. Candidates should have proficiency in programming/scripting languages and experience with silicon bring-up and debug processes.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required, with a Master’s degree (MSEE) preferred. Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with server operating systems and strong analytical capabilities.
