Job Title

Experienced Package Product Engineer

Role Summary

The Package Product Engineer coordinates product engineering from prototyping through production release and sustaining. Works with cross-functional teams (IP design, NPI, DFT, test, quality/reliability, and suppliers) to meet product performance and quality targets.

Responsible for product qualification, resolving production issues, and implementing process and product improvements; may apply data analytics (AI/ML) for reliability and outlier detection.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” requires at least 6 years of relevant semiconductor engineering experience (design, fab, packaging, test).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include product development, release, and sustaining support:

  • Lead cross-functional development from concept through production release and sustaining phases.
  • Define and track product quality and delivery to required timelines; act as gatekeeper for product performance.
  • Evaluate product requirements and identify technical and schedule risks.
  • Review product and process designs and participate in change management across the value chain.
  • Work with suppliers/vendors to ensure product quality and performance.
  • Resolve production and supply issues with internal teams and partners.
  • Provide technical support for IC design, wafer sort, packaging, and final test.
  • Assist sustaining support for released products and implement continuous improvement actions.
  • Research and apply advanced data analytics (AI/ML) and outlier screening for Automotive and A&D reliability requirements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • At least 6 years of relevant semiconductor engineering experience (design, fab, packaging, test).
  • Knowledge of process and packaging technologies.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to use data for decision-making.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and integrate across technical disciplines.
  • Experience in product engineering with responsibility for product quality and performance targets.

Nice-to-have:

  • RF experience.
  • Experience applying AI/ML to data analytics or reliability screening.
  • 9+ years of relevant experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required. Master's or PhD in an engineering discipline is preferred. Relevant fields include electrical, mechanical, materials, packaging engineering or related technical disciplines.
