Role Summary

As a NAND Product Engineer, you will define, evaluate, and safeguard extrinsic and intrinsic reliability for Micron’s NAND Flash products. The role requires hands-on large-scale data analysis, electrical failure analysis, and cross-functional collaboration across development and manufacturing.

This position provides deep technical ownership at the intersection of device physics, circuits, process technology, and product engineering to prevent reliability escapes and enable high-quality product shipments.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting does not specify years of experience but expects demonstrated experience in semiconductor reliability and leading cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on reliability test development, failure analysis, data-driven risk assessment, and implementation of controls to improve product DPM and cell reliability.

• Define and implement NAND reliability test flows to assess and prevent extrinsic/intrinsic reliability escapes.
• Perform high-volume statistical data analysis to evaluate DPM and intrinsic reliability trends and risks.
• Drive electrical failure analysis and advanced characterization to identify root causes and potential solutions.
• Develop short-term countermeasures (targeted stresses and screens) informed by device physics, circuits, and process engineering.
• Qualify products with control measures to achieve best-in-class DPM and cell reliability.
• Collaborate with Fab, NAND Technology, NAND Design, Product Development, System Development, and Quality/Reliability teams to enable shipment-ready products.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights responsibly to improve efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
• Support customer inquiries and provide technical reliability insights.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive strategic initiatives to enhance the reliability program.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Experience in semiconductor reliability, NAND technology, and electrical failure analysis.
• In-depth background in NAND design, device physics, circuits, process, test, and validation.
• Strong statistical analysis and problem-solving skills; experience with high-volume data analysis.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, JMP, or Tableau, and practical use of AI/LLM tools for engineering tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams; self-starter and team player.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
