Role Summary
The STPG Product Engineer supports product bring-up, validation, and high-volume manufacturing of NAND and SSD products. The role investigates electrical and physical failures, drives yield improvements, and coordinates cross-functional and global teams to qualify products for customers.
Experience Level
Entry-level. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in SSD/NAND product development or a related engineering field.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include:
- Lead product bring-up activities and support high-volume manufacturing for NAND and SSD products.
- Perform detailed electrical and physical failure analysis and coordinate corrective actions across departments.
- Support failure analysis and yield improvement through data analysis and test verification.
- Troubleshoot customer returns, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
- Develop test flows, validation plans, and qualification activities for multiple customers.
- Drive cross-functional task forces to resolve qualification gating issues.
- Collaborate with global Product Engineering teams to meet product and qualification timelines.
Requirements
Required and preferred skills:
- Minimum 2 years working experience related to SSD/NAND, product development, or a relevant engineering field — required.
- Practical experience in NAND/SSD device operation, test, or product development — required.
- Experience with failure analysis, yield improvement, and data-driven problem solving — required.
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills — required.
- Self-motivated with strong leadership and teamwork skills — required.
- Relevant experience with computer hardware and storage interfaces (PCIe, SATA, SAS) — preferred.
- Experience in the NAND or SSD industry — preferred.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
