Engineer, SoC PnP Architect

Role Summary

Work on SoC performance analysis and validation for system-on-chip designs. The role runs benchmarks and experiments, interprets performance metrics, and helps identify and diagnose system-level performance gaps.

Collaborate with verification and architecture teams in Bengaluru to translate measured results into actionable recommendations for microarchitecture and system design.

Responsibilities

Execute performance characterization and communicate findings to engineering and architecture teams.

  • Run benchmarks and performance experiments in Linux and bare-metal environments; collect and analyze latency, bandwidth, throughput, and utilization metrics.
  • Investigate performance bottlenecks using traces, counters, simulations, and workload measurements.
  • Develop and maintain C/C++ and Python scripts and tools for workload characterization, automation, and data visualization.
  • Compare measured performance against architectural expectations and help identify root causes of gaps.
  • Document results and present complex findings clearly to influence architectural decisions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Practical experience in SoC performance analysis within the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong knowledge of computer architecture and microarchitecture: pipelines, cache hierarchy, memory systems, and system-level interactions.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for tooling, automation, profiling, and visualization.
  • Experience working in both Linux and bare-metal environments.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experience.
