Job Title
Engineer / Senior, CE Product Yield Enhancement
Role Summary
Member of the NAND Central Engineering - Product Yield Enhancement (CE PYE) team responsible for electrical fault isolation and physical failure analysis to support qualifications, new device introduction, and debug of test failures.
The role works closely with Process Integration, Product, Test, and Quality teams to identify, classify and drive corrective actions for electrical and physical defects.
Experience Level
Mid-level to Senior. No specific years of experience stated.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include electrical and physical failure analysis, fault isolation, and process improvement activities.
- Perform electrical device characterization to determine electrical failure mechanisms.
- Operate fault isolation equipment (including nProbing) to localize electrical defects and support root-cause determination.
- Conduct physical failure analysis to identify and classify physical defects.
- Formulate hypotheses on electrical or process failure mechanisms using electrical models and physical analysis.
- Collaborate with frontend, backend, Product, Process Integration, Test, and Global Quality teams to resolve defectivity issues.
- Prepare and present electrical and physical failure findings regularly to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement new fault-isolation and physical-failure analysis techniques.
- Lead and mentor CE PYE technicians and foster a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
Essential skills and experience for successful performance in the role.
- Proven teamwork, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a drive to deliver results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present complex information in large meetings.
- Ability to support shift rotations as required for operations.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple engineering and quality functions to implement corrective actions.
