Role Summary

Engineering role focused on probe testing, product validation and yield improvement for HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) products at a wafer fabrication site. The position supports new-product startup (NPI), test program development, electrical characterization and failure analysis for memory devices.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing and validating test flows for HBM products, supporting new product startups, analyzing failures, and driving yield improvement.

• Improve probe testing coverage and quality for HBM products; own probe test flow and sign off probe test program releases.
• Use in-house engineering equipment for product characterization and electrical failure analysis (EFA).
• Develop test algorithms and automated test programs to improve test efficiency and validation coverage.
• Support new product startup and yield ramp activities; identify process- and design-related yield issues.
• Perform design verification and circuit-level analysis using CAD tools and Verilog simulations.
• Collaborate with wafer fab/process integration teams to resolve process-related defects affecting yield.
• Validate HBM features and commands using high-speed tester hardware; analyze validation failures.
• Automate program development and workflows using scripting to increase productivity.
• Perform electrical/physical failure analysis and use statistical data analysis to drive yield improvement projects.
• Define cost-efficient HBM test strategies and coordinate with test engineering for necessary fixtures and system testing.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience inferred from the role responsibilities.

• Hands-on experience with probe testing and development of test programs for memory devices (HBM preferred).
• Experience with high-speed tester hardware and validation of memory devices.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and Verilog for design verification and circuit simulation.
• Experience conducting electrical and physical failure analysis and product characterization.
• Proficiency in scripting for test automation and data parsing/analysis (e.g., Python or equivalent).
• Experience in yield analysis and using statistical tools to drive improvement projects.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with process/integration and test engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills for identifying design marginalities and recommending fixes.
• Nice-to-have: experience applying AI or agentic AI techniques to automate workflows or improve test efficiency.
