Role Summary
As a Package Reliability Process Engineer you will define and standardize package reliability requirements and processes to ensure board-level reliability that reflects customer PCB designs. The role covers process control, qualification, failure analysis coordination, and cross-functional coordination to meet JEDEC and industry standards.
Experience Level
Entry-level β fresh graduates welcome. Early-career engineers or those with equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing, qualifying, and improving package reliability processes and enabling new products for production.
- Develop and standardize package reliability processes (e.g., temperature cycling, HAST, HTS) and qualification flows.
- Ensure hardware and test readiness for reliability campaigns and NPI activities.
- Identify, investigate, and document process deviations; perform systematic troubleshooting and 8D problem solving.
- Perform risk assessments throughout qualification and define process sampling plans and instructions.
- Design experiments (DOE) to evaluate process, material, and equipment interactions and establish process limits and CpK.
- Implement process controls, monitoring plans, and process reliability test methodologies that follow industry standards (JEDEC).
- Train and brief operations teams on procedures and new standards; support excursion material disposition.
- Analyze test results and failures; coordinate failure analysis and corrective actions.
- Apply data-driven methods and AI to identify reliability process improvements and increase operational efficiency.
