Job Title
Engineer, DEMQRA Automotive PQRE
Role Summary
Lead qualification and ongoing product quality and reliability assurance for DRAM/NAND memory products intended for Aerospace & Defense and other high-reliability applications. Coordinate qualification, upscreening, screening, acceptance, and documentation across engineering, manufacturing, and external test partners to ensure compliance to applicable customer and industry standards.
Drive reliability methodology, risk assessments, and corrective actions; produce auditable evidence packages and support customer and auditor inquiries.
Experience Level
Mid-level — typically 3+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor quality, reliability, product engineering, or qualification.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include planning and executing A&D and commercial product qualification, defining acceptance criteria, and ensuring traceability and audit readiness.
- Plan and execute new product qualification and lot-level upscreening for A&D and commercial variants.
- Define qualification and acceptance specifications, including screening and lot/date-code controls aligned to PEM‑INST‑001 and applicable military standards.
- Perform risk assessments across qualification decision points and evaluate standards gaps relative to mission profiles.
- Review internal and external test data, sample plans, and objective evidence; approve qualification and lot acceptance dispositions.
- Develop reliability tests, monitors, metrics, and specification updates to assess emerging failure mechanisms.
- Assess deviations and drive containment, corrective actions, and disposition decisions with documented rationale.
- Support RMA/customer support analysis, prepare qualification summaries and evidence packages, and respond to audits and technical inquiries.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external test partners to close gaps and maintain standards compliance.
Requirements
Key required and preferred skills, separated where possible.
-
Must-have: 3+ years experience in semiconductor quality, reliability, product engineering, or qualification (DRAM/NAND preferred).
-
Must-have: Knowledge of DRAM, NAND, VLSI, semiconductor physics, and semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fab, assembly, test).
-
Must-have: Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to lead cross-functional qualification activities and produce clear technical documentation.
-
Must-have: Experience interfacing with customers and auditors and assembling evidence packages for regulated/high-reliability programs.
-
Preferred: Familiarity with data analysis and scripting/automation tools (Python, Perl, C++, Java).
-
Preferred: Working knowledge of aerospace/military microelectronics standards and flows (e.g., PEM‑INST‑001, SAE AS6294) and military test frameworks (e.g., MIL‑STD‑883, MIL‑STD‑750, MIL‑PRF‑38535).
-
Preferred: Awareness of radiation reliability concepts (TID, SEE) and implications for lot-level qualification strategies.
-
Other: Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally periodically (approx. 1–3 times per year).
Education Requirements
B.S. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study (the posting specifies "B.S. or Equivalent in EE or related field"). Equivalent practical experience accepted per posting language.
