Embedded System Engineer for Pre-Silicon Validation

Role Summary

Join the coherent DSP pre-silicon validation team responsible for the emulation platform that enables HW/SW integration, pre-tapeout validation, and bring-up of next-generation coherent DSP ASICs. The role focuses on building, scaling, and supporting hardware emulation and test infrastructure to accelerate product development.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include operating and improving the emulation and verification environment and supporting cross-functional teams during pre-silicon milestones.

  • Set up, maintain, and scale hardware emulation platforms used for pre-silicon validation.
  • Develop and maintain test plans and verification scenarios to accelerate simulation workloads on dedicated hardware.
  • Define and implement emulation scenarios in collaboration with hardware, firmware, and verification teams.
  • Participate in development and improvement of the emulation platform for CDSP products.
  • Provide technical support and debugging assistance to users of the emulation platform during critical pre-tapeout and pre-bringup phases.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and competencies; desirable items are listed separately.

  • Must-have: Proven experience in C and C++ programming.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
  • Fluency in Python for test development and automation.
  • Basic knowledge of RTL design and verification concepts.
  • Experience with HW/SW debugging and root-cause analysis on failing tests.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and applications teams.
  • Advanced English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Spanish: native or fluent.
  • Nice-to-have: scripting and automation for verification flows, knowledge of microcontroller architectures and communication protocols, and familiarity with Git-based workflows.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred).
