Electronics Engineer
Role Summary
Join the team that supports semiconductor metrology equipment by diagnosing and resolving electronics-related escalations on production lines and in the field. The role focuses on troubleshooting, failure analysis, supplier and EOL management, and improving production processes for systems that integrate electronics, mechanics and optics.
Experience Level
Mid-level β requires at least 3 years of relevant experience working with complex electronic systems, board design, FPGA development, or system integration.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Manage end-of-life (EOL) processes for components and support supplier transitions.
- Support suppliers and resolve production-process issues related to electronic components and assemblies.
- Analyze analog and digital electronic designs and perform failure analysis on parts and assemblies.
- Investigate field failures and support customer escalations with on-site or remote troubleshooting.
- Support production by identifying and resolving recurring issues and implementing process improvements.
- Lead and execute engineering change orders (ECOs) and enforce copy-exact policies using company procedures and databases.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills:
- Minimum 3 years experience working with complex electronic systems, board design, FPGA development, or system integration.
- Experience managing EOL processes and supporting supplier transitions.
- Proven hands-on troubleshooting and field failure analysis skills.
- Familiarity with electronic production procedures, standards, and quality processes.
- Strong teamwork, written and verbal communication skills; high level of English proficiency.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering required.
