Role Summary

Intern on the Video Hardware Engineering team supporting design and validation of fixed surveillance and body-worn camera hardware. Work focuses on hardware bring-up, signal integrity testing, memory interface tuning, and system-level performance validation for video SoC platforms.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Intended for current university students or recent graduates seeking practical hardware engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Hands-on contributions to hardware validation and system performance for video SoC products.

• Perform hardware bring-up and signal integrity testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and standard lab equipment.
• Assist in tuning memory timing and parameters for DDR4 / LPDDR4 / LPDDR5 to ensure stability under heavy video workloads.
• Execute stress and system-level tests to validate reliability in real-world scenarios.
• Document test procedures, results, and troubleshooting steps; collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Support performance optimization and debug of SoC-to-memory interfaces.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical abilities for effective lab work and validation.

• Must-have: Strong understanding of digital and analog circuits and signal integrity concepts (impedance, crosstalk).
• Must-have: Familiarity with lab instruments such as DSOs (oscilloscopes) and multimeters.
• Must-have: Ability to read schematics and perform basic soldering and board-level troubleshooting.
• Must-have: Basic scripting/programming in Python or C for test automation and data analysis.
• Must-have: Methodical troubleshooting approach and clear technical documentation skills.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with EDA/layout tools (Altium, Allegro, KiCad) and logic analyzers.
• Nice-to-have: Prior exposure to high-speed memory interfaces or hardware bring-up for SoC platforms.

Education Requirements

Pursuing a degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
