EDA Tools Software Engineer

Role Summary

The EDA Tools Software Engineer will be responsible for advancing the design, implementation, and verification of cutting-edge hardware design tools and methodologies within the semiconductor industry. This position involves collaboration with industry leaders to develop innovative design automation solutions that support varying technology nodes and improve efficiency in hardware design processes.

Experience Level

This role requires an experienced hire, suitable for candidates with significant expertise in hardware design tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and verify advanced hardware design tools and flows.
• Define comprehensive methodologies for hardware development associated with new technology nodes.
• Conduct end-to-end EDA tool testing and analyses to optimize performance.
• Enhance design automation platforms, scripts, and tool flows.
• Engage with EDA vendors for joint development and testing of proprietary design tools.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years, Master's Degree with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years in Physics, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in LVS/Extraction Runset Development using languages such as Calibre SVRF or Pegasus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including TCL, Perl, or Python.

Education Requirements

Minimum educational requirements include a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in relevant fields such as Physics, Electrical & Computer Engineering.
