EDA Software Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and maintain EDA software as a member of the development engineering team. Work spans software architecture, GUI development, unit testing, bug fixes and performance optimization.

Collaborate with product and test engineers to gather internal requirements, ensure product quality, and improve the development environment and design methodologies.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing and maintaining software features and supporting product quality and development processes.

• Design and implement software components and architecture.
• Develop graphical user interfaces and related features.
• Create and maintain unit tests; diagnose and fix defects.
• Optimize software performance and resource usage.
• Collect internal customer requirements and translate them into technical tasks.
• Support and evolve existing and new Defacto solutions.
• Work with product and test engineers to improve development environments and design methodologies.

Requirements

• Proficient in C/C++ and object-oriented programming.
• Experience working on Linux-based development environments.
• Familiarity with version control systems (git or svn).
• Good English communication skills; able to work independently and collaborate with R&D team members.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in the EDA or semiconductor industry.
• Tcl scripting experience.
• Knowledge of RTL languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL).
• Experience with Qt libraries for GUI development.

Education Requirements

Engineering degree, Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline (as stated in the posting).
